Health Benefits of Habanero Peppers:
How should habanero flakes be stored. Refrigerate or not?
In a cool, dry and preferably dark place away from direct sunlight. We highly recommend you do not refrigerate them as moisture could build up on them allowing for mold/bacteria to grow. After we dry each pepper we test each batch to make sure the moisture content is within government standards and safe for consumption. A refrigerator will only reintroduce moisture, which would not be a good thing.
