Trinidad Scorpion Pepper Flakes

Size: 1 Oz

Native to the country of Trinidad and Tobago in the Southern Caribbean, the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper is one of the world's hottest peppers. On February 13, 2013, the New Mexico Chile Pepper Institute named the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Pepper the world's hottest pepper with an average Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) rating of more than 1.2 million on the Scoville Scale.

What does it feel like?
The Scoville Scale is a measure of the pungency (heat level) of chili peppers. The heat level of the pepper seems somewhat mild at first but then it builds until it is unbearable and crosses the 1.2 million Scoville Heat Unit threshold. Some individual fruits are known to top out at a whopping 2 million on the Scoville Scale causing intense pain and a significant endorphin rush.

Suggested Uses:
Our dried Trinidad Moruga Scorpion flakes are ideal for adding fiery heat to dips and salsas, pasta, nachos, pizza, wings, and more!

Warning:
You should always wear gloves and handle our Trinidad Moruga Scorpion flakes and powder spices with extreme caution. We suggest wearing gloves, goggles, a mask, and a long sleeve shirt when handling the product. Even the smallest amount of our Trinidad Moruga Scorpion flakes on your skin will cause you extreme irritation.

Disclaimer:
Our flakes are sold by weight as they are a commodity. Since they are pure we do not add fillers so how it looks in the bottle may be different than what is shown in the pictures as the density changes with each crop. FDA-approved plastic bottles are only manufactured to specific sizes (i.e. 8 fl oz, 16 fl oz, 32 fl oz) so changing the bottle size for each crop is not possible to always make it look entirely full for every crop.
