Until my Reapers, Apocalypse Red's, Ghost, Butch -t's, and Habanero's hit POD season, the Sonoran powders are my primary source of heat in the candies, brownies, and sauces that are being made. Literally a business extension.
Excellent flavor, extreme heat, and concentrated in a powder. What’s not to like! Just go gentle on it, way too easy to get too much; but, soo worth it.
I cut my habanero powder with 50% black pepper and basically use it on everything but ice cream I’m a little addicted it is so good
I purchased the ground Habanero and Ghost powders and the Habanero flakes.
First, the flakes are awesome on pizza; much better than your garden variety crushed flakes. Keep in mind that a little will go a long way.
I'm playing with the ground Habanero as a replacement for Cayenne pepper. It has a slightly sweet taste with some heat on the back side. Now keep in mind that heat is a subjective thing, so if you can't handle a fresh Habanero or Serrano then this might not be the product for you!
As far as the Ghost Pepper goes, well you don't use this so much for flavor, it's just darn hot. A real little bit, like 1/8-1/4 tsp, goes a long way in a frying pan. I will say that it does have a fresh taste but we'll see how well it stores.
The order process was simple and delivery was timely. I will definitely be returning to these folks in the future.
