Aji Limo peppers, or Limo chile, is a medium to hot chile pepper from Peru and a member of the Peruvian trinity family of peppers, along with Aji Amarillo and Rocoto peppers.. In Peruvian cuisine, Aji Limo peppers are often made into a chili paste and used as the base for any number of dishes. You can easily use the Aji Limo powder to create a paste in a similar manner. The flakes are create sprinkled on tacos, ceviche, chili and pizza.
The Aji Limo pepper commonly has a Scoville Heat Rating of 30,000-50,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Aji Limo peppers have a similar fruity, citrus taste to Scotch Bonnet peppers but with less heat.
