Orange Habanero Powder

Orange Habanero Powder

Size: 1.5 Oz

From the freshest hand-picked habanero, chile peppers available in Eastern Mexico come one of the hottest peppers in the world. Our ground Habanero Chile Powder makes a wonderful addition to any dish.

It has a wonderful taste and aroma, sweet yet intensely spicy. Pair its tropical fruity taste with fresh mangoes, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro and the flavors meld wonderfully to give you one amazingly simple hot salsa.

Mix a teaspoon into ranch dip and it becomes a dip everyone will love. Add a bit more for those friends and family who think they can handle the heat and watch them beg for a glass of milk just to soothe their pain. It is excellent on the grill as well, simply add a dash to chicken, steak, pork, and more.

How hot is a habanero pepper?
There are many different types of habanero peppers, they come in a number of different colors and the heat level varies for each different color and type. Habaneros can come in quite a variety of colors, from chocolate, red, orange, white, yellow, and even purple. The lowest rating is about 60,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU) while the highest rated is around 600,000 SHU. In general between all of the habanero types and colors, habanero peppers average about 300,000 Scoville Heat Units. Our orange habanero peppers regularly test at between 300,000 SHU to 350,000. This is generally hotter than the usual orange habanero peppers you will find in your local grocery store as our peppers are grown in ideal tropical conditions in Mexico.

Habanero Origin
The habanero has had a long and complicated journey that has taken it all over the world. This pepper’s name translates to “from Havana” The proper Cuban name for Havana is actually La Habana. Not only are habaneros commonly found in Mexican cuisine, but they are also commonly grown in Mexico. You can find them grown in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula than in any other part of the world.

I was looking for products that were clean and spicy. This was perfect and allowed me to cut out my most beloved super salty bottled hot sauces. I use habenero best I ever had and it is so good. Can't wait try other clean products.

Powders

Until my Reapers, Apocalypse Red's, Ghost, Butch -t's, and Habanero's hit POD season, the Sonoran powders are my primary source of heat in the candies, brownies, and sauces that are being made. Literally a business extension.

Wow

Excellent flavor, extreme heat, and concentrated in a powder. What’s not to like! Just go gentle on it, way too easy to get too much; but, soo worth it.
