Trinidad Scorpion Powder

Size
The Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper is one of the world's hottest peppers. Native to the region of Moruga in Trinidad and Tobago, the pepper is a perennial plant that thrives in a warm climate. The fruit is oval in shape with a stinger tail and has a wonderful, sweet flavor.

The heat level of the pepper is somewhat mild at first but then it builds until it is unbearable and crosses the 1.2 million Scoville Heat Unit threshold. Some individual fruits are known to top out at a whopping 2 million SHU on the Scoville Scale causing intense pain and a significant endorphin rush.

My favorite pepper

Perfect addition when you want some real heat! I prefer this flavor profile to Carolina reaper, and it's changed a lot in my kitchen.

As a pepper head it is so much easier to buy great heat than growing, drying, and grinding your own heat. This is the highest quality scorpion pepper that I have found.

Fantastic flavor and heat. I grew these pappers a few years back and the smell and taste are right there. I think these even pack more punch than my version in the northeast region of the country. Great value, a little goes a long ways, used them on baked beans with bacon recently and even people who aren't pepper heads had seconds once they got over the initial blast from the scorpions. This bottle might not last as long as I had thought given the fun i am having with it so far.

The last I heard it's a toss-up for hottest in the world between this, Ghost Pepper, and Carolina Reaper. Great stuff. Use it every day...usually on salads. Wash hands after using because if you forget and rub your face....or eyes, you'll learn some new words.
This is my 2nd 7oz. bottle. It must be catching on because the price is rising.....unless I bought the first one from a different outlet.

I have only just received this product, but have used dried moruga scorpion chillies before and the heat level is just what I am looking for.
